First support band on was Das Wanderlust who describe themselves as "wrong pop". Based in Middlesbrough they say on their Myspace that they’re "not really worried about looking or sounding cool, they just like making pop music exactly how they want to, because that’s what always sounds best."

The audience were a little confused and unsure of what to make of the band. They had shouty vocals, and a mix between punk and techno. This was their last date touring with Maximo Park, and they certainly made sure they enjoyed it. They looked somewhat clumsy and unprofessional but that’s exactly what Das Wanderlust were aiming for.
